In this week’s “Why Pittsburgh”, I wanted to focus on some of the national praise the Steel City has received in recent years!

While all of the topics and accolades listed in this week’s article are second nature to Pittsburghers, I find it refreshing when other media outlets discover how much of a gem our city is. We’re a proud city!

Did you know Pittsburgh was voted the most livable city in the United States six times since 2000, by major outlets like The Economist and Forbes just to name a few?  Our stunning views, generosity, and affordability certainly helped us accomplish those accolades!

Pittsburgh is also known for a fantastic variety of activities for the entire family.  No matter if we’re talking about the Carnegie Science Center for kiddos, the South Side for some wilder times, or any of Pittsburgh’s famous historical districts for all ages, the Steel City has something for everyone. Yes, Foodies…we’ve got you covered, to.!

I’ve included a link to the article where you’ll find Pittsburgh is much more than a sports town.  In fact, we’re one of the most well read cities in the country!  As they say, never judge a book by it’s cover.  Yes, the pun was intended.

Until next week!
