I’m sure you make every Mother’s Day special for the special woman in your life, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it a little more special. If you’re still scrambling for last minute, outside of the box ideas, I threw together a compilation of intriguing options to make Mother’s Day one you’ll never forget. Let’s face it, you probably haven’t spent too many Mother’s Days at a mystery theater. I know I haven’t…but I’m realizing I probably should have. đ

Legume will be open on Sunday, May 14 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a special Motherâs Day dinner. Enjoy their farm to table dishes, and famous cocktails. Reservations can be made online.
Mystery Theatre Pittsburgh
In honor of Motherâs Day, Pittsburghâs Mystery Theatre is hosting a very special Motherâs Day themed murder mystery dinner. Tickets are $37.50 per person, and include a dinner buffet of chicken florentine, sausage and meatballs, pasta marinara, parsley potato, green beans, tossed salad, ice cream, soft drinks, coffee, and a cash bar. Talia Cucina & Rosticceria
Talia, the new Italian Rosticceria Downtown, is debuting their brunch menu on Motherâs Day! Guests will be treated to live music, pasta dishes like carbonara, Italian brunch specials, and â last but not least â a tabletop bloody mary bar. If you canât make it this Motherâs Day, Talia will be serving brunch every Sunday in the future. The Frick Cafe & Gardens

The Neighborhood Flea: Motherâs Day Edition

This is one of the few brunchs left with the original Smallman Galley chefs. Stop through on Motherâs Day to enjoy treats from Carota Cafe, Provision, Aubergine Bistro, Josephineâs Toast. As always, enjoy drinks from Smallmanâs famous cocktail list.
Motherâs Day Wine Walk
On the Saturday before Motherâs Day, Uncover Squirrel Hill is hosting another self-guided wine tasting in the Squirrel Hill business district. Take mom out and educate her on wine!  Over 15 businesses are participating. Tickets are $20 per person, or $35 for two, and can be purchased online.
Ember & Vine
The newly renovated Ember & Vine restaurant in Cranberry is hosting a delicious Motherâs Day brunch. As they say, âTreat Mom. Weâll handle the cooking.â Enjoy a giant menu with dishes like red velvet pancakes, carved sirloin, and omelet station, and much more! More information can be found online.
Momâs The Word Pup-friendly event at Wigle Whiskey

The Gluten Free Goat and Reed & Co are teaming up for a first come, first serve, Motherâs Day brunch at the The Gluten Free Goat in Garfield. Slope Side Brunch at Seven Springs Resort
